Dixie Bop'n TinCanTuesday!

One of my first Music Theory assignments in college was to transcribe an original composition. Far from anything classical, “Dixie Bop” was the only original song I'd ever come up with, and could play on the piano (sort of). So, I figured out how to write the notes on staff paper, and prepared myself to play it in front of the class. I don’t remember what sort of grade I received, only a few odd looks blanketing the classroom. I'm sure there's some subliminal influence from listening to Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s “Hoedown” over a thousand times!

Forty five years later, thanks to some technological tweaks, and trying my hand at videography, here’s the 2022 version ...not too far off from the original.
