A few projects are heating up, and getting ready to go public soon:
I just mastered a single Reggae song, "Love Cruzan Rum" in collaboration with Mighty Pat in St. Croix, V.I. He has the voice of the Virgin Islands, and in my opinion it is the perfect song to market the Cruzan Rum distillery down there. So far the parent company is unapproachable, but I'm trying to work the regional Caribbean connections to see if they'll pick it up as an exclusive. Otherwise, it'll be available via all streaming channels, etc.
My bandmate from my Luther 'Guitar Jr.' Johnson & the Magic Rockers days, "Sax Gordon" agreed to lay down some 'real-deal' sassy sax on my jazzy/bluesy, Muddy Waters meets James Bond tune called "MUDD on 66". I may release it as a single, but it'll definitely be on my upcoming "Blues Cruise-66" EP release later this spring.
Last year I won a couple filmmaker documentary awards, so my 2023 film entry in the can is "Hippy Dippy Airstream." It's sort of a past/present/musician video-collage that also dabbles in my other ambitions as a commercial property developer projecting plans for the international Route 66 Centennial Celebration in 2026.
Check out my 2021 song "Joy to the Island People" put to a video on BrightenHaiti.org website tomorrow March 8th for International Women's Day.
Be well, and stay tuned. Never thought I'd say this, but many links are coming!
