On recent trips to Santa Fe, NM we stayed in old town on the Plaza, which has The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi just across the street.

This 19th century church houses two towers with historic bells that chime every 15 minutes. The ambience inspired me to compose the "Chime for Holidays" album incorporating their imperfect tones into every song.

Like towering rocks along a Southwest desert road trip, “Away in the Tower” uses the euphonium to mirror the 19th century ‘Manger’ Christmas carol, and rocks it up with bass, drums, guitar, piano and Hammond organ.

Stay tuned as next week’s song is being queued up to be featured on a new fundraiser video for Brighten Haiti!
